Snoring. It’s something we all grow up knowing about. Granddaddies snore after Thanksgiving dinners.

Moms tease dads about their snoring and sometimes it’s mom who snores. The point is, snoring is quite common. At some point we have all snored or known of someone who did.

What we cannot all readily discern however, are the reasons behind snoring.

“The Stop Snoring Exercise Program” forced me to examine various causes of snoring and incorporate them into the system.

Reasons we snore

Our parents can be part of the cause - and their parents before them. We may have inherited a predisposition in our physical make up that results in snoring.

Certain deformities in the nose or enlarged parts of the throat may contribute to snoring.

Men tend to snore more often overall. And growing older is often another major contributor. The muscles (including those in and around the throat) are not as strong as they used to be.

Sinus interference such as a stuffy nose will cause snoring. And that will cause restless sleeping.

Those things can’t be changed. We have little control over those factors.

Other culprits are within our realm of control. Some of those include our physical sleep disposition, certain medicines, habits such as smking etc.

It is better that you don’t over do it and you have to push yourself. Some pain is good but not enough to hurt yourself. You will learn to tell the difference. Do what it takes to make every workout worth showing up for and you will open up a new world for yourself.

I recommend getting a consistent dose of weight loss motivation; you should team up with a buddy. This is not an easy program but the rewards are great and a buddy with some weight loss motivation at the right time can help a lot. Some of the best weight loss motivation I know of is when friends and family notice a difference and ask if you have been working out.

With this weight loss program you can make fitness a way of life. When you make fitness a way of life magic will start happening for you, people will notice and you will feel your inner power. You will feel great and you will not want to go back to your old way of living. How to Diagnose Acid Reflux

Most of us are aware of the usual problems of acid reflux, but it may take the doctor to do some testing to determine if there could be an organic problem causing it. If there is no change after altering diets and lifestyle, the doctor may suggest one of the following procedures to determine the cause.

These tests are invasive procedures involving insertion of tubes into your food pipe to observe and analyze your information over a period of time.

The 24-Hour Esophageal Ph Test, and the 48-Hour Bravo Esophageal pH test, recommended by the Cleveland Clinic Foundation involve the insertion of a tube through your nose that is pushed way down so as to be near the Esophageal Sphincter muscle, the kingpin in this Acid Reflux Saga. .

This small tube with its acid monitoring device on the end passes gently through the nose, down the food tube or esophagus and stops about 2 inches above the lower esophageal sphincter. The tube is then taped to the side of your face with the end coming from your nose attached to a portable recorder worn on a belt or on the shoulder. This recorder has buttons to let you record certain conditions.

You then follow certain food and medication restrictions prior to testing. During the test which lasts 24 hours, you avoid showers but record mealtimes and foods as well as resting times. Certain symptoms can be recorded on the recorder by pressing the appropriate buttons.
